ZIDELE spokespersons are the public face of our party and they speak on behalf of the party at various levels presenting the views of the party depending on who they are speaking on behalf of, communicating information to and from the media, and the public. They are senior members of our staff as they are required to know about ZIDELE in detail so that they have the confidence to face the media’s questions. They stands out as the link between our party and the public and are formally designated to speak on our behalf. They are guided by ZIDELE TRUTH principles in their work. They have an ethical devotion to truth and fact.
The party has a spokesperson who speaks on behalf of the party,a spokesperson who speaks on behalf on the president ,and spokespersons who speak on behalf of departmental heads. In order to communicate with the media our spokespersons arrange and attend press conferences and appear for media interviews .They correspond with individuals and groups and constantly interact with others so as to keep a smooth flow of information between ZIDELE and the public. It is important to emphasis that our spokespersons handle all political communication which involves the inflow and outflow of information making our party an interactional activity in which politicians talk with the people and not and not to the people.
They travel frequently and in case of disastrous scenarios where our party’s reputation is on the line, they handle some damage control measures, thereby advising the public and stakeholders of the correct situation at hand. Our spokespersons are aware of our policies, principles, constitution and strategies and know what stand to take so that a correct public image of our party is maintained. They are quick thinkers who answer questions put forward by the media and the public honestly and they keep in touch with media persons and have excellent communication skills. They have emotional intelligence as they are in a position to manage their emotions in a way that connects with different people. They have established ongoing strong communication channels and positive value positions with the public. They are observant, responsive, believable, knowledgeable and credible. Our spokespersons keep up to date with the pulse of the people before they speak.
To become a ZIDELE spokesperson a degree in mass communication with specialisation in public relations is very helpful as it gives training on how to tackle different situations for the benefit of our party. |
